| Information |
This is a newbuilding project,
which we have worked out together with first class naval architects
and marine engineers. The design concept is patented.
We can arrange for building this vessel for a very reasonable price
level at a first class shipyard.
The dimensions and characteristics can be ammended and changed in
accordance with your requirements.
As you can see from above computer photo, a number of
improvements have been introduced with this project, compared to
existing ship designs.
The main improvements are:
- Reefer hold is square. No pillars in Reefer hold.
- All decks are identical apart from tanktop
- As we expect all reefer / freezer cargo to be on
pallets, there is no reason to have the traditional grating,
because of the shape and dimensions of the reefer holds. All
technical solutions are available and proven. This is regardless
of type of cargo, frozen fish or bananas.
- Number of containers is much larger then compared to
other conventional designed reefer ships.
- Accommodation is located in the middle of the
vessel, reducing noise and vibrations from engine and propeller.
- The accommodation is not taking up any deck space,
which could be better used for pay-load.
Finally,
we would like to point out that the building price and running
cost for a vessel as proposed is the same as for conventional
ships in spite of the additional flexibility.
